Due to new Vista features, Vista laptop battery usage has been criticized, which, unlike Windows XP, can drain the battery much faster and reduce battery life. Since the visual effects of Windows Aero have been disabled, battery life is the same or better than Windows XP systems.
Satellite L30 – 105 – eft Touchpad Vista boot menu appears randomly
Since I have mine (PSL33E), I would say that when I click the control panel to select something, the Vista boot menu sometimes appears, which is very annoying.
Has anyone else had this issue?
>I press the knob button to select something, sometimes the Vista boot menu appears
I’m sure this isn’t unusual, as this area or corners of the touchpad can be configured randomly.
I recommend most people check the touchpad configuration and assume you have unacceptable features or disabled items .
Your touchpad configuration should be in a new panel->Mouse->Properties or Extended Border.
I can’t remember exactly where to find the appropriate settings.

I’m using Windows Vista Home Edition. The start menu is in Vista mode. When I select a file, the nearest file I find opens at the top. It works well in classic mode. How can I solve this problem?
Also, try the following methods to see if they helpwhether they solve the problem.
Sounds like your problem with Windows Aero. I recommend that you update your FX card’s video drivers from the manufacturer’s website and see if that helps.

Hello, this is my first post so I hope someone can help me.
I’ve been making a lot of mistakes lately, mostly related to updates to my PC that has Vista Home Ultimate installed.
How do I reinstall Windows Vista without CD?
Restart your computer.Press F8 on the boot screen to display a menu of advanced boot options.Select “Repair your computer” and press Enter. If necessary, enter an administrator password and preferred language.Select Dell Factory Image Restore and click Next.
Since then, when I click on this menu, the home page on the left is really empty and not the same as before.
Does anyone know what the problem might be?
I would suggest system restore or an adware scan.

I see you are PC savvy! I’m having a problem with my new Vista start menu… When I click on the My Documents folder it doesn’t really open… It’s on my personal c: drive and I can see it and open it so I know that it’s there, but can I get full access to it on startup? …??? I have also provided 4 Office files… 1 above my file owners. and 3 are in my proprietary files… I have definitely messed up my sync files… functions and documents are my main concerns.
